Definition of an Active, Professional Coach
An active, professional coach is someone who currently provides coaching services for monetary compensation, either independently, part-time, or as a formal internal role within an organization.
In order to meet our PQ Coaching Grant criteria, it is essential that you are actively engaged in coaching clients who are compensating you for your services, such as:
- Independent coach: Runs a coaching business and works with paying clients.
- Part-time coach: Provides coaching services as a paid addition to another role.
- Internal coach: Provides coaching within an organization, with coaching formally included or clearly outlined in their job responsibilities.
This requirement ensures that coaching is a significant and ongoing part of your professional responsibilities, whether you are working externally with clients or internally within an organization.
You do not need a certification from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) or another coaching governing body to meet this requirement.
This article defines one requirement, but PQ Coach Grant applicants must also meet other criteria, including Pod participation and commitment to the program.
